Sycamore Manor Retirement Community

Generosity in Action

Sycamore Manor Health Center is fortunate to have residents, families, volunteers and staff who are committed to ensuring and enhancing the quality of life for all residents – now and in the future.

Over the years gifts to Sycamore Manor have been as varied as the people we serve and have been made directly to a special project or to the Benevolent Care Fund. The first neighborhood in our Building Eden Neighborhoods project, for example, received funding through private donations.  The Maple Court project is underway to renovate a kitchen in our neighborhood for residents with Alzheimer’s Disease and other forms of memory impairment. Funds received to date were generously provided by a combination of donors including the Department of Community and Economic Development, the First Community Foundation of Pennsylvania and many private donations.

In addition, gifts to the Benevolent Care Fund help to provide charitable care to those residents who have outlived their personal financial resources. No one has ever been asked to leave the Presbyterian Senior Living system of care because they had outlived their resources. This means if a person does not divest or give away assets, we have an unwavering history of keeping our commitment to the people we serve.  In fact, Sycamore Manor provided $1,736,402 for uncompensated care in 2010.

If you or a loved one have benefited in any way from our services, we invite you to consider extending the gift of quality care and quality of life in any number of ways.

There are always needs to be filled and services that require financing beyond internal budgetary capabilities, so we are dedicated in continuing our work to raise the funds needed to fulfill our mission at every level, down to every last resident at Sycamore Manor.

Our Donors & Their Stories

We often measure the depth of donor commitment by the number of people served and the millions of dollars applied to support our mission. But the real story is how gifts to Sycamore Manor have affected the quality of life for our residents. We are proud to share those stories and to highlight the true impact that donor support has on others.
